A new month has arrived and with it the end of summer. August is the last hurrah before we must return to school and the the business of the fall and holiday season. August starts with Lammas, the celebration of the first harvest and the baking of the first bread of that harvest and ends with the Labor Day weekend, known as the official end of the summer season. August is usually the hottest of the summer months revolving around vacations, trips to the beach or lake, and soaking up the last of the rays while lounging by the pool.
August is often referred to as the month with no holiday, however, August is still a busy month.
